The Donut Kitchen is a locally- and family-owned bakery that has been serving the Charlottesville, VA, community since 2023. Our specialty lies in our handmade donuts, which are made with love and care. In addition to our classic old fashioned donuts, we also offer a variety of flavors such as strawberry and chocolate iced, blueberry, and cinnamon sugar. Absolutely love these donuts! They’re gourmet level without the price. And the staff is genuinely very sweet. Our son demanded (he’s 5) a donut with no sprinkles and I was explaining to him you can’t act crazy in a public space and the employee just made him a donut without sprinkles. That’s the kind of above and beyond service that you read about.

Everything about this Christian family business is wonderful. The donuts are large and any filled donut is generous. I had a salted caramel donut there a few weeks ago that put me in another universe. Delicious! A personal favorite is their Bavarian cream filled chocolate iced long john. Been a favorite since I was a kid and they do it right. Also recently discovered their lemon iced donut. It taste like limoncello cake to me. They also have their donuts available for purchase in the UVA hospital cafeteria.
